Englewood and Manasota Key represent that laid-back Southwest Florida vibe, without the over-crowded feel you get from the touristy beach towns. With some of the most beautiful beaches, public golf courses, fishing charters, and top-notch local shopping and dining, all within a few miles, The Blue Heron Home is at the heart of this amazing vacation destination!
Seven minutes to the beach, five minutes to 5 great golf courses, three minutes to fishing charters, and eight minutes to great local shopping. Our home is central to all that Englewood and Manasota Key have to offer, and we are happy to share it with you!
Plan your beach day, you golf outing, your fishing trip, and your shopping trips... Then when you're done for the day, come home and relax with a cold drink by the private pool! The best part of a busy vacation day, is having a private, relaxing environment to recharge for tomorrow!
Beautiful white sand beaches, unspoiled by big hotel chains, giant condo complexes, and big chain "junk" shops. Englewood and Manasota Key is a beautiful beach town that doesn't have a people problem. Find the best shelling of any Florida coast! Find your quiet beach spot and enjoy the clear blue and green water of the Gulf of Mexico.
Just a few miles down the road, you will find the growing shopping district in Englewood, called Dearborn St. This quaint section of town includes local shops and restaurants where you'll find beach wear, local art and jewelry, as well as some of the finest local dining.
If you're interested in a larger, more "Rodeo Drive" shopping experience, 16 miles to the north you will find "The Shops of Venice"! With plenty of FREE parking, you'll find an even larger list of great local shops and restaurants. Clothing, Art, Jewely, Gellato, and my personal favorite, the Daquri Deck.
Just 13 miles south is Boca Grande. This island shopping area has a Key West feel, without the dirty streets, 6-toed cats, and street chickens. If you were to run into any celebrities in Florida, this would be the place to do it! People like Harrison Ford, George HW Bush, and Nick Saban all live in the area, and MANY more celebrities vacation here. They all appreciate the quiet South Florida beach town and avoid the crowded tourist locations!
Whatever your shopping preferences, there is a beautiful streetscape with the perfect local shops just minutes away!
